Studio Flash Octagon Softbox 

The octagon softboxes, (sometimes referred to as “Octaboxes”) are especially popular amongst portrait photographers and cinematographers who specialise in shooting people. Octaboxes produce soft wrapping lighting, with natural-looking fall-off, which is very difficult to emulate using traditional rectangular softboxes. Since Octaboxes don’t have a long-straight edge, they produce a soft, wrapping quality of light, with gradual light fall-off from highlights to shadows. Their octagonal shape also produces pleasing and more natural-looking round catchlights in the eyes of your subject. Perfect for use as a main light, or a fill light.

Reflective Interior

The 120cm standard recessed octagon softbox features a highly reflective interior and black exterior. The reflective interior is designed to bounce the light around the interior of the softbox to maximise light efficiency. The black exterior of the fabric prevents light leakage from your light source and absorbs any stray exterior light which may otherwise contaminate the purity of your Lightsource.

Dual-Layer Diffusion

The 120cm octagonal softbox light diffuser features two layers of diffusion, enabling the softbox to produce soft, homogenous lighting over the entire front surface of the softbox, with minimal hotspots. They also help to reduce specularity on your subject.

Interchangeable Speedring

The 120cm standard recessed octagon softbox features an interchangeable speedring, enabling it to be used with a wide range of studio light brands. If you want to use this softbox with a light with a different fitting, simply switch the adapter ring located in the centre of the speedring. This is perfect for photographers or videographers who use multiple lighting brands or may switch brands in the future.
